How to draw a Kitty dancing the Hula

How to draw a cute Hula Kitty step by step- Part 1

Aloha! Here is an adorable Kitty dancing the hula for you to draw! She is peacefully swaying her hips to the music.

Hula Kitty Tutorial #1

Step 1: Draw an oval for Hula Kitty’s head

Step 2: Draw an oval shape for her body. This oval shape includes her stomach and legs as well. Now you can see how big the oval is in relation to her body.

Step 3 : Draw the ears. Draw an inner oval inside of the body. This inner oval shows where her stomach is. Draw horizontal and vertical lines across her head and body to show which direction she is looking at.

Step 4: Draw in the arms, legs and tail.

Step 5: In her head, draw in two more horizontal lines. One horizontal line above and one horizontal line below the horizontal line you drew in Step 4. This shows you where to put the eyes. Also draw in the whiskers. Below the eye lines, draw in a short line representing where her mouth will be.

Step 6: Sketch the line for her grass skirt.

Step 7: Draw in her eyes, nose and mouth.

Step 8: Draw in her coconut bra.

Step 9: With a pencil, draw the outline of your Hula Kitty. The lines you drew in the previous steps are guides to help you draw the main outline with confidence.

Step 10: Now that you’ve sketched in your Hula Kitty, go over the main lines again but give them more life. Make the outline darker and feel free to play with the thickness of the lines. The drawing is more interesting if the line thicknesses vary. Also, draw in Hula Kitty’s cheeks.
